Making It Happen
Making It Happen

ISTE would like to invite you to participate in the Making it Happen awards program!

Making it Happen is a nationally recognized awards program for educators in the field of educational technology integration in K–12 schools. The program identifies and rewards educational technology leaders around the world for their commitment and innovation. Created in 1995 by Deb DeVries, Kathy Hurley, and Pat Walkington, the program recognizes the contributions of individuals, especially classroom educators, in the field of education technology integration in K–12 schools.

Since its inception, the program has grown into an internationally recognized awards program highlighting the dramatic role various educators, from the Secretary of Education to the classroom teacher, play in the learning process using high quality technology in the classroom. Designed for educators, the program identifies educational technology leaders around the world and rewards those individuals for their commitment and innovation. Since the program's inception in 1995, more than 260 pink jackets (black for men) have been awarded to outstanding educational leaders!

Now that ISTE has adopted this program, we would like to extend an invitation to all ISTE Affiliates to participate. This program is offered at no cost to ISTE Affiliates! Included are up to two jackets, two picture frames, and copies of the Making it Happen newsletter, the Gazette. Spacing is limited to two events per month, so please make your reservation as soon as possible. Completed application forms should be submitted no less than 45 days before your scheduled event.
